SR-201 Bridge Work Update

Dear Community Members,

We wanted to inform you about upcoming construction activities that may impact your commute, daily travel, and local businesses in and around 3200 West and SR-201. Please read the details below carefully and plan accordingly to ensure safety and minimize delays.

Construction Start Date: July 15th, 2024

Work Schedule: 7 days a week, with day and night activities to ensure a speedy conclusion to work and an accelerated schedule.

Project Details:

  • Ramp Improvements: Beginning mid-July crews will begin improving the on and off ramps for 3200 West into a new traffic configuration. Expect intermittent lane closures on the ramps and on 3200 West while these improvements are being made.
  • Bridge Rehabilitation: Once the ramp improvements are completed, traffic will be diverted off the bridge and onto the ramps as the new SR-201 traffic configuration. Any travel underneath the bridge at 3200 West will be closed to vehicles, people walking and biking. This will allow crews to rehabilitate the bridge deck while keeping the traveling public safe. The bridge rehabilitation will start in mid-August and is expected to take approximately 5 months.

Important Notes:

  • Traffic Impact: Be advised that in mid-August, SR-201 traffic will be moved off the bridge and placed onto the on and off ramps at 3200 West. As the closure date approaches, we will provide more updates on the exact SR-201 closure and the new traffic configuration.
  • Delays: There may be delays of up to 30 minutes during construction. Please use alternate routes during this time to avoid delays.
  • Safety: Please help ensure that everyone gets home safely each day. Slow down, stay aware, and exercise caution around the construction area.
  • Local Business Impact: Local businesses in and around 3200 West and SR-201 may be affected by the construction. Please plan your visits accordingly and consider supporting these businesses during this time.
